Our History
The Clarendon holds a rich history, having once been owned by the Earl of Clarendon, the Governor of The Cape, who played a significant role in the region’s development during his tenure. As a heritage building, this family-run boutique hotel boasts 16 luxurious bedrooms, each beautifully designed to reflect both comfort and elegance, and was established in 1996 by the present owner, who is dedicated to preserving its unique charm and character.
